1960s vintage hippie red crushed velvet maxi by 'Forbidden Fruit'
Breathes like nothing else, wrinkles intentionally, photographs beautifully in natural light Cotton light, breathable, comfortable, the everyday hero of warm-weather dressing Chiffon flows with movement, doesn't trap heat against the body, layers beautifully Jersey surprisingly cool for a knit, stretches with you, doesn't bunch when you sweat Voile lightweight cotton blend that drapes well and keeps you cool Heavy satin (especially polyester satin) Velvet (truly never in summer) Sequin-heavy polyester (the sequins themselves trap heat) Structured taffeta or organza (looks beautiful, traps everything) Thick lined polyester crepe (trust us) Body-con dresses in summer heat are a punishment
Im a fan of Halla Patterns you may recall that my easy summer dress was the FREE Agnes pattern you can read all about it here
The skirt flares out in a classic style
Even on things like a longsleeve T-shirt, having some sort of button/snap/velcro/etc cuff on the wrist instead of an elastic cuff would make rolling the sleeves up so much easier, and then you wouldnt be faced with the issue of stretching out the elastic cuffs
